About me

Kristine Okuneva is a fine art photographer from Latvia working with still life and minimalist conceptual photography. In her work, she photographs both studio compositions and details from the surrounding world, focusing on atmosphere and visual meaning.

She often creates compositions using natural elements, sometimes combining them with man-made objects. Through light, color, angle and composition, she tries to reveal the beauty of ordinary subjects and draw attention to details that often go unnoticed.

Her inspiration comes from nature, everyday life, museums and contemporary photography. Through minimalism and conceptual imagery, she aims to create photographs that invite the viewer to slow down, reflect and experience a personal emotional connection.

Kristine Okuneva studied Environment Design and in her early establishment as a photographer took many pictures of swift and elegant dogs of all breeds. These images were the first to be exhibited publicly. Later she decided that still life and peaceful world around are better targets for her lens. She continues developing her artistic practice through new photographic series and exhibition projects.
